How will BF2 work?

I was wondering how BF2 would work with the CD's. I remember that BF1942 didn't require a CD after a map had loaded but i was wondering whther or not I would need a cd in at all times. I also remember that BOTH CD's worked on BF1942 so you could have 2 people theoretically using one game at a time. Any ideas if BF2 is going to keep these traits from BF1942.

Oh, and I'm thinking of either Battlefield 2 or Silent Hunter III. Any thoughts?

No, i'm not trying to steal it. I actually pre-ordered it. But for a LAN party, if I had a friend that wanted to play on LAN only, would I be able to give him the CD so he could play?

And yes i know i asked which one, but i was looking for overwhelming support on either game.

Not sure. I ordered the DVD version, so I just have the one disc. It should get here today

I've been hearing a lot of complaints about huge lag spikes in BF2. Didn't keep me from buying it though. :D

Any good game will release an official no-CD patch (think UT2k4).

It remains to be seen if BF2 is a good game ;)

We've already accused you of being a pirate, so I'll move the conversation forward:

It seems most games will let you play solo with cracked executibles. (Except for Half-Life 2, which seems to want me to get online every few weeks before it lets me play.)

But you wont be able to do any internet games and maybe even LAN games while cracked. Am not sure about BF2, since I intend to use the DVD version I guess I can just deal with leaving the disc in.

Just be legit and buy 2 copies.... BTW...they do have a DVD version available if you don't wanna deal with multiple CDs.

Downlaod game drive Google it..you are not a pro gamer without it..Game needs BF2 installer disk 1 to play. Dont use the intelligent extraction method...choose the first choice in the drop down list and build a VCD....put your disks away as you'll never need them again....
Those who know...newegg AND get GAMEDRIVE....trust me
also compress max when building VCD
I did this last night and bf2 DOES work with gamedrive
now you know
