I just got a better computer with Windows XP Home edition formated in NTFS for its 40 gig drive. I want to add the 60 gig hard drive of my old computer that is formated in FAT32 to the new computer.
When the two hard drives are in the new computer, will the NTFS hard drive be able to read the FAT32 drive?
Also, I am inclined to use the FAT32 drive as the boot drive because I have a 3 gig partition just for Windows 2000 for safety reasons in case it is destroyed by a virus or in case the registry gets screwed up by a new program because then I can just reinstall a disk image I took of it. But I don't know if the FAT32 drive will even read the NTFS drive.
Would it be better to use the NTFS drive as the boot drive or the Windows 2000 drive as the boot drive or does it make any difference at all?
