How / Where to find dog breeders , Time to get a dog

Vette73

Anybody know of a place to find breeders for pets. I am looking to get a pet quality Doberman and trying to find one in the NC (Raleigh) area. Nothing to costly as I am only looking for pet quality, don;t need show. Trying to find one near me so I can check out the parents and look at the whole litter.

I have found some sites but they might only list 1 in NC or the listing is old and link is bad. I also see some in the paper but the last 2 were sold out by the time I got my tax return.

Thanks

we found a breeder in eastern nc for our shetland sheep dog at petfinder

i haven't looked much, but my wife spent some time on it and it led her to whoever bred our dog. should be easy to find some leads there

try newspapers or get in contact with registered breeders association in america (i forget the name of it now) and they should point you in the right direction.

DO NOT buy from a pet store.

btw, purebred dogs tend to have more health problems and don't live as long as mutts. (in general)

I already knwo the problems that Dobe's have and they are not as bad as most purebreds. Thats also why I want to see the parents and the WHOLE litter.

Trust me I am not a noob at pciking this breed, I did my research. Of course I know lots of people that have not and that is why soemtimes you find dobermans, mastiffs, etc... in pounds. That really ticks me off, so don;t worry. 🙂
