How/where can I preorder a ps3?

Ya, first of all, don't get one. Secondly, there will be many less at launch than there were of XBOX360's, so prices will be much higher on ebay, if I was gonna get one, I'd sell it for sure on ebay, I bet that I could make over $500 easy. I think that there will be 600,000 at launch to be split between the US and Japan??? Correct me if I'm wrong. And, rumor has it that since they are having trouble meeting the Cell quota, there will be even less than that. So if you get one, sell it.

I was seriously thinking about camping out in line, with my two boys. That's 3 PS3's.

Oh yeah, and I'd re-sell 2 of them in a heartbeat to pay for the 3rd. Simple laws of supply and demand. Virtually zero risk in the process, except a beat-down by the first person in line who *doesn't* get one.

Of course, I'd factor in the value of my time... If I'd make less than $20 an hour for standing in line, it really wouldn't be worth it to me.

This is a really stupid justification. You are creating the lack in supply by exploiting the demand. The fact that you are purchasing one means that one less person will get one. It's really lame. I understand you want to make that money but think about the person who wasn't able to get one for their son or daughter who is terminally ill and won't live to see the next shipment. Okay that's really over-dramatizing it, but you get the picture. Because you wanted to make a profit, you are doing one of two things:

Either
A. the person/persons who was unable to get one for their legitimate personal use doesn't get one at all
or
B. The person/persons who was unable to get one at retail price is forced to pay hundreds more (terminally ill son/daughter anyone?)

Okay, the terminally ill thing is kinda overdoing it, but what if?

Me, I'd rather let the people who really want it get it, if I want one, I'll get one. But if I want to make some money, that's why I have a gd job.

you guys that are thinking of camping out for a ps3, after the xbox 360 shortage, expect to at least camp two days or more before. A night before simply wont cut it.

It comes out on a Friday (Nov 17)...so you'd have to camp out on Thursday. The Wii comes out the following Sunday.

Also, the two EB Games store managers I talked with don't expect anymore than 5-10 PS3s per store.

I checked around the time of TGS06 and my FYE had already filled all their pre-order slots.

I believe TRU took pre-orders a few months ago.
