Hiya!
I'm currently wanting to order a new CPU for my new mobo that i'm getting soon, but i'm stuck on which one to get.

I'm currently trying to decide between

A) P4 1.8a
B) p4 1.6M

The prices are the same, but which one would oc better on a:
- Abit Bh7 Motherboard
- 512MB of Hyperx PC3000 ?

Thanks!

First impressions I would say the 1.6M.
However you will need aftermarket cooling as the 1.6 is a mobile P4 chip and does not have the IHS. If you do not know what I am talking about, get the 1.8a.

the m chip will be a 12x multi in a desktop board..

1.8a -> 18x100fsb, 1800mhz
1.6m -> 12x150fsb, 1800mhz

on the other hand, alot of recent 1.8a's will OC to 150fsb (2700mhz) and laptop chips usually can hit 180-200fsb, thats max 2400mhz

Id say the 1.8a
