well considering it takes roughly a 300-400mhz overclock over the fastest 4mb c2d with a 2mb c2d, i'd imagine its going to be even slower than a 2mb c2d and require even a higher overclock to hit decent speeds.

Since going from 2MB to 4MB L2 cache on the current C2D does very little for performance, I'd say that it will be a steal for at 75 bucks.

Most tests I've seen show only an average of around 4% performance gain from 2MB to 4MB cache.

The real question is....how high will they oc? :)

But going from 2MB to only 1MB could create a serious performance bottleneck. Can't be certain till they are reviewed.

They shouldn't be that bad though because the architecture is very solid no matter what you do with it...;)
