How well does XP pro use 2 CPU's?

I'm thinking of puting together a dual proc system, & I'm currious as to how well XP pro utilizes multiple processors.

Much is going to depend on the applications you use. However, if you do a lot in the background it helps out a lot. In my case my main computer at the office is constantly printing AutoCAD drawings while I'm here. Instead of trying to fit a print server in my office I put another processor in my workstation. Before printing to the Epson 1520 bogged the whole thing down especially if I was doing something processor intensive. Now I can't even tell I'm printing anything in the background.
