How well does the Alpha PEP66 fit on the A7V?

eP?

I'm just curious how much room this needs and if it will get in the way of my RAM or anything else? Also, how loud is the Delta Black Label 38cfm fan that is offered on the 2CoolTek webpage? And does it provide that much of a performance boost compared to the Sunon 60mm 23.5 cfm RPM sensing fan?

Thanks

I got the PEP66 with a Sunon fan for my A7V and it fits perfectly, just completely chop then sand off the legs on the PEP66 and you'll be fine. I keep one side of my case open at all times, and still I'm not sure if the Sunon is loud at all because I'm in a dorm room and usually playing music and there's also a fan and fridge on. In any case, it's supposed to be pretty quiet so if that is a concern I would definately get that because the Deltas are supposedly VERY loud.

I think just about anything fits on the A7V. I've got one on my test bench with one of those monster GlobalWin FDP32's mounted on it.

Great to hear that Russ,Btw how is it performing?

I am asking because i have a FEP32 (FDP32's little brother)and i want to use it on my next Socket A board.

Thank you .

Just like mosdef said, I have a pep66 on my A7V and it works great...especially sucking (like your fan should be) because the hot air rises and the fan just keeps it moving, and from there it goes right into the big open grille under my PS and the heat gets sucked right out...
And make sure the cut those little hard plastic feet off...

I've been using an Alpha PAL6035 with a 4500RPM fan... just recently bought a GlobalWin FOP38 (some reviews had it cooling better than my Alpha); this bad boy has a 6800RPM 6cm fan on it... Needless to say, I hooked it up and it was LOUD! Also, I think I need to sand it down or something, cause my Duron no longer was stable at 900MHz... needless to say, I put the Alpha back in, and the FOP38 is back in the box (maybe I'll try it on my next socketed CPU setup)...

PEP66 is pretty equivalent to the PAl6035 (temp-wise), so it sound like a good bet. I picked up the PAl6035 cause it was over $10 cheaper..
