I'm building a new system now, my motherboard choice is very limited, between a ms with 420-D chipset (K7N420 Pro) , another msi with kt266a (K7T266 Pro2) or an Asus A7V266-e (kt266a)? I'm wondering how well the msi would overclock, also any good or bad things about any of these three boards?? Thanks a lot.

BTW, the msi has an geforce mx onboard, is that ok or should I avoid that kind or things onboard?

Hey,

I just built a system with a MSI nForce a couple of days ago. The onboard GeForce MX blows other motherboard's onboard video out of the water, but if you're a hardcore gamer you're gonna want to get a faster card.

As for overclocking, I haven't really played around with it yet. Not the best board for overclocking, but I was able to get my XP 1800+ (1.53 GHz) running at about 1680 MHz (about 2000+ speed, default voltage, no stability probs at all) and my RAM at 307 MHz (PC2100 DDR - Corsair 128 x 2). I've still have to play with the CPU voltages.

The BIOS doesn't let you select any speed setting you want. There are 22 different fsb/ddr/agp combination settings to choose from. I believe the BIOS might support changing the multiplier, but don't know about the board itself.
