Before I got hurt, I'd have answered yes to all of them, but with the bad back, swimming is much more difficult than it used to be...actually, I swim pretty well with my arms, but kicking is problematic.

I like to swim. I do not swim very well. I prefer laying on a float

I haven't been swimming in years, so I have no idea. I used to dive though, doing flips and whatnot off 5-meter platforms.

yes to all but the last one... at least I could the last time I did any great deal of swimming.

lately, though, the deepest pool I've been in has been a hot tub ;)

You used to dive off 5-meter platforms with aerial flips and you don't know if you can backstroke two lengths? !?

Swimming was pretty much the only thing in Phys Ed that I can say I dominated at. I would have tried out for the swim team but I had pretty bad asthma then so anything more than a typical 45 minute gym class would literally kill me.

Answering "no" to all the questions is equivalent to that... don't need an extra question =)

I'm a regular fish.......without any training. I can crawl, tread water, freedive to 20 feet or so, but all those formal strokes? nah.

Not well at all. I can go about one length doing the front crawl before I collapse from sheer exhaustion. I can do backstroke all damn day though. I can't tread water for more than a few minutes, though, as I have very little body fat and no buoyancy whatsoever. I can run for hours and feel great but get me in a pool and I'm hanging onto the wall for dear life after 15 minutes. :)

I could swim about a mile easily in the ocean. I could tread water for hours and I can dive from a diving board into water without doing a belly flop. I've jumped off a 20' cliff into a quarry.
