How well do wireless mouse do in gaming?

ie: Target has on clearance a wireless optical mouse (microsoft blue) and a wireless keyboard/mouse combo (GE). The GE mouse has a mouse ball.

which is better?

would either cut it in games like HL2 or Command +conquer?

if not, would any wireless mouse cut it for gaming? if so, WHICH? and why will that work over my choices?

The only really good wireless mouse for gaming right now is the Logitech MX700.

Logitech MX700 is the way to go for wireless mouse gaming, I highly recommend it...

I think this is alot of BS personally. The intellimouse explorer wireless mouse seems fine to me as well. Oh, and by the way I just read that the MS mouse is actually used by more gamers.

However there are alot of logitech fanboys around here.

Me, im a Razer fanboy. I still use a boomslang.

I've had the intellimouse wireless explorer.... and it was unusable for games. It was nearly unusable for just moving about the desktop. Too much lag.

Logitech MX700 rocks.

Probably the only valid truth you'll hear from Nebor. It's not Logitech fanboys that stick with the MX700, just because of fanboyism. It's because it has been proven true. I've tried quite a few pair of wireless mouse, none have given me the same response as the MX700. I loved the MS Intellimouse Explorers, but the wireless line, were utter crap. And not just in gaming. Basic Windows functioning was horrible. I haven't tried any of their newest ones (that's IF they've had a revision since I last used them), so I don't think they've improved much.

i have a MX700 and it is fantastic for everything 🙂 i haven't used any of the lastest MS mice so i can't coimpare sorry
