How well do spot-free, streak-free car wash work?

One of the things I hate about cleaning my car is the amount of time spent on drying the exterior. Yeah, I use nothing but water, but I am willing to try out some car wash solution if the spot-free, streak-free claim is true. Is there really no need for tower drying? I think the time saved might very well justify the cost.

Can anyone speak from experience?

I use the Mr. Clean Auto Wash and I have a black car. It works awesome but the Filter Replacements/Soap aren't cheap and they don't last long for me but it beats having to dry and saves time.

All the automated car washes that I go to leave my car mostly spot free. Petro-Canada and Esso.

You wash your car without soap? What the hell is that going to do

Is your car black? on anything aside from Black or dark blue, I can have it appear spot free with a final flood of the surface and ZERO towel drying or water filtration.

What? I am just asking how true the spot-free claim is. I've never used any car wash solution and would be willing to give it a try if I hear good thing.

Unless you use de-ionized water, there is no soap that can give you a spot-free wash without drying.

No soap? Are you just that cheap and/or dense?
