well, I have a Duron 750, overclocked to 866 with default voltage (though it is reported as 1.64 volts, it's supposed to be 1.6 volts) cooled by an FOP-32, and running on an Epox 8kta3 (their KT133A board).

My boss has a 600 duron @ 900 so you should be able to hit 1000

that was changing the multiplier. though I have the fsb on 133.. I only put it to 866 (6.5 I think), because I didn't really want to bother trying 933, thinking that it wouldn't work anyway..

but I WILL try 933 very soon.. I just got a PEP66!

750 easilt hit 900+...i got mine at 926...you should easily hit 1.0 because your mobo is powerful...

check www.overclockers.com They have a CPU database, there are many aircooled at 1Ghz+ (750 @ 133FSB = 1G)

The A7V133 is a perfectly fine board, but at this point I woudlnt' recommend an SDRAM board unless you already have the SDRAM...and maybe not even then....an Epox 8K7A can be had for about $140 shipped and DDR SDRAM is $62 for 256MB of DDR266 (PC2100).

If you already have DSRAM you want to use then the A7V133 is a good choice.

D750@981@1.775V(109X9) on a KT7-R. Runs 89F@idle, 118F@full load, but I don't have an AC and I live in Northern Arizona, so my ambients are usually about 86-90.

oop!

forgot to mention I'm running RC5, so any instabilities that DO crop up are easily noticeable..

and I just got my PEP66 running.. that's a pretty sweet heatsink!
