how well do Duron 700's OC?

toph 137 buck duron 700s? Those are some expensive durons you got there. Even the 800 aint that much. You sure that aint the Tbird 700 you talking about?

i've got a D700 running stable at 1083MHz on a KT7 with a Cooler Master DP5-6H11 Heatsink/Fan. What's up with that price though? $137? I paid $76 for my D700 one month ago.

The highest overclocking Durons are the 600s, 650s, and 700s. The 750s and 800s don't seem to overclock as well as the other ones, even with higher voltage. Even though you'd probably have a better chance hitting 1GHz with the 700 with proper cooling and good voltage, I still think the best thing to do is getting a cheaper 600 or 650 and overclock that to 1GHz..

well, i have a week 41 duron 700, so i expected to hit 1gig easily , but i can only do 936..and even that took quite an effort..my duron 600 (week 35) does 1.1 gigs, easily...so i'm a little wary of the 700, however overclocker.com's database show a lot of highly overclocked 700's.

Well, I have THE worst Duron 700 yet made. Doesn't go over 900, and even that 900 isn't 100% stable... all voltages maxed out.

yeah it is almost infailable to reach 900 Mhz. but you have to raise the core voltage .35 more than the original 1.5v so 1.85 should be the voltage. i have a 800 Duron and i succesfully overclocked it to 1.2 GHz. and it is Completly Stable plus my chip only cost 12 $. andri,

don't feel bad. My stinking duron 700 will only do 850 before errors show up in prime95. I am not a happy camper.

Dan at what voltage are you ive got the same heatsink, but i cant get my cpu higher than approx 936 at 1.8v. how can that be?

I just got my 700 to 900 @ 1.85v. That's with just a FOP-32 cooling it. one of these days i might invest in a taisol or something so i can get it higher. I can get it to boot at 950, but then I get the blue "Windows Protection Error" message when ME trys to load.
