I didn't sleep well. It was an unusually frustrating week at work and, apparently, it has disturbed my inner calm

I never sleep "well." I sleep...usually 4-5 hours tops...then I'm up for a while...then try to get another couple of hours before I'm up for the day.

I pretty much always sleep well. I could count the times per year I don't sleep well on one hand.

Not well at all. Our corporate profits are at all time highs, I worked 500+ hours of unpaid overtime last year. What did the company do? They gutted our benefits and gave us 1.5% raises. Now I’m not sleeping well as I’m working on my exit strategy.

I'm on night shifts, so I oddly sleep better in the day than at night so slept really well. Though I generally sleep well, my issue is actually falling asleep. If I'm not tired enough then all bets are out, I'll just be lying there for hours trying very hard to fall asleep. On night shifts I'm already tired when I get home so I fall asleep fast. I get my 8 hours of sleep that way. Oddly enough, even in the summer months when I get home and sun is already out, it's not really hard to sleep. I never had to worry about installing a black out blind or anything.

I'm a night shifter as well. Only slept 3 hours this morning, will have to pay the sleep debt a bit with a nap tonight or tomorrow afternoon.

I've heard that's bad for you. That "catching up" on sleep is just about as bad as missing it completely. :shrugs: Just something I've heard in passing, and didn't pay a whole lot of attention to. I've always had normal jobs, and am a big fan of naps, so sleep issues don't peg high on my radar.

Love it when its cool outside. very well last night.

Never had a problem until about 5 years ago. Things that help, A regular schedule, sometimes high Cannabidiol weed (very effective for me*) and in rare case lunstra.

* When I was in a state were it was legal. But I am going next week to my doctor to get a weed card.

between the anxiety and depression and the meds used to correct them, I usually dont sleep at night. I wander around until I'm exhausted and get a nap where I happen to fall. If I'm luck its at home with a bed nearby. or carpet that isnt too thin.

if I'm unlucky its on the road and my back seat isnt very comfortable. Or so the neighborhood bums keep telling me.

It's not ideal and I try not to do it, but generally happens for me every weekend. Not dissimilar from being jetlagged. Effectively I'm on an Australian or New Zealand time zone compared to all the regular day people in ET.

I have a bad habit of sleeping in too much myself but it's also because I go to bed too late, like 4am sometimes even later. In fact it's hard to get up even at noon now, I can just keep sleeping. Then I either end up oversleeping or just going to bed too late.

In summer I tend to use the sun rise as a cue that I should really go to bed. :D
