How warm is your A64?

I just need some idea what people do here...

How warm is your AMD Athlon 64 3200+ or A64 series..

Mine is now at 39C idle with Aqua R120 1/10 of the nob(slightly on)
what do you do?

My current rig (in my sig) runs 32C idle in a room that is 70F. Under Prime95 CPU torture test it runs 43C. I just made 3 changes that dramatically reduced my temps:

1) Replaced stock AMD heatsink and fan with a stock AMD dual core, quad heat pipe heatsink and fan.
2) Used Artic Silver 5 thermal compound instead of the factory TIM.
3) Replaced the stock Antec 120mm rear exhaust fan in my Super Lan Boy case with an Antec Tri-Cool 3 speed 120mm fan that I am running on high setting (79 CFM). I may drop that down to medium and see what it does to temps.

Before any of the above, using stock heatsink and fan and case w/ stock case fans I was running 34C idle and @ 2700mhz running as high as 52C under prime load.

Opteron 170 @ 2.5ghz

SI-120 w/ 5000RPM 120mm Deltafan, it rocks

30-36 idle, dependant on ambient temp
40-46 load, dependant on the application

Ive got the fan running at a max of 55%. 2500RPM, so it can be cooler, but then it would also be noisey, its set up just right for me.

My 3200+ E3 venice @ 2.5ghz 1.5v with a scythe ninja passive(without a fan) is about 36-38C idle and 44-45C load.

Room temperature 25C.

A64 3000 socket 754 with 10x multi (1.52Vcore at 2.68GHz). Cool n Quiet enabled. Zalman 7700Cu fixed at 970 rpm inside Antec SLK3000B with two Panaflos 120 x 38 set @ 900 rpm.

CPU idle...30 to 31C
CPU Prime95 Max Heat Mode...53C

Opty 165, 2.4ghz, stock voltage
SI-120 with fan at 900 rpm = 33C idle
SI-120 with fan at 1200 rpm = 42C load

30 idle
34-35 uder load

Water Cooling with 3x120mm rad. It's an SLI rig too so you have 2 video cards dumping heat into the rig.

Why do so many ATers give their system temps on one scale, and ambient/room temps on another? How are we to make a quick comparison? Oh, I know, I'll just break out my handy conversion chart to work out how efficient the cooling is... 🙁

A64 3200+ rev. E6 @ 2.6Ghz and 1.45vcore

Ambient: 20-25C
CPU idle: 30-34C
CPU load: 43-45C

Using stock fan and heatsink.

Opteron 170 @ stock 2GHz, but voltage dropped to 1.275V. Zalman 7700Cu.

Idle 40*C
Case 36*C
Room 26*C

Hot summer in London!!!!!!

Mine is around 32 idle and I'm not sure what it is during load, haven't really checked it but I believe the last time I did check it was less than 40.

Opteron 170 @ 2.4ghz w/standard vcore & AMD retail HS/fan

39c idle
50c after 12+ hours Prime95

Room temp approx: 24c

4400+ X2 @ 2.5GHz
26°C room
31°C idle
47-49°C dual prime
with a XP-90 and a fan doing 2000rpm when fully on (happens at >48°C).

21C/28C summer ambient
32C/38C working cpu
26C/33C mobo
38C/45C cpu @ load

nites are cool, but days are hot.
