I'm going to put them and awhole bunch more stuff up for sale in a few days, but I'll let you have fist dibs....

btw, both drives are factory black...

I'm in New Zealand, so ordering black drives is barely an option. I can possibly just order the bezels

Paint may have to be the answer

yeah, if you do it right, sand down the bezels, and get a good paint, they'll look just fine. Good luck!

geez...i don't even have them...and i get sick just looking at the pictures. by the way thortek.com spraypaints most of their parts...they do look flawless but just keep in mind that it is spraypainted and will probably wear out with long use. check out directron.com...they have lots of black drives...which are plastic molded just like those beige ones...but they do add a wee bit to the price. Painting it yourself would probably be the cheapest and most rewarding way...if you do it right.

I'm currently trying the IBM servicing centre, we have several black netfinities at work- they must have some parts locally

I bought one of those black hydraulic cases from Directron.com. My burner is like a greyish (HP burner) and the floppy drive is beige. All you have to do is slide that hydraulic door up and no more ugly mismatched colors!

Well, I've got a black Antec 1030 with beige drives. I didn't think it looked bad, but my girlfriend saw it and here's how the conversation went:

GF: Ooh, black case. So are you going to paint those black to match? (pointing at the beige drives.)
Me: Um, idunno. Do you think they look silly?
GF: Yeah, kinda.
Me: Um, yeah, lots of people paint them. I was just trying to decide if I want to go with black or some other color.
GF: It looks nice with the door closed.

Yeah, you know it, computer style is all about impressing the chicks. 'Cause you know, relationships hinge on these things.

(That was a couple weeks ago. I still haven't painted them. She hasn't left me yet, either.)

No offense but I think it looks ugly for someone to spend time painting a case but not worry about the drives/bezels. I know alot of people buy cases already colored but still, please take the time to match the drives to the case. But it is your case, so it is your decision.

I have an antec sx 1030b, and yeah it looks a bit ugly with beige drives, but if I care what it looks like, I just close the door, and it looks sweet.

The Lian Li doesn't have a door :(

I just don't like the idea of painting the bezel, i would rather find something moulded and just forget about it

Drectron sell just the Bezels, that might have to do

doesn't look that bad(the link up there)....and the only reason you'd need to paint it is if you have people over all the time or go to lan parties and such, otherwsie i'll just sit underneith your desk.....

Probably a good idea to remove the drive face before spray painting them, I would hate to think what it would do to the insides :D
