How tough is Ninja Gaiden Sigma?

Topic. Considering getting it, but hear its really tough, and i'm a gamer that has a short fuse. Should i get it anyway?

Hard. I got up to the flying sister you fight in the chapel with the pillars and...well, it's hard. I never got pass that level.

Not as hard as NGB, but still quite tough, so I'm given to understand. I wouldn't get it if you're easily frustrated...

I'm quite easily frustrated. If i spend more than 15 minutes dying to something in a level, i start swearing, 20 minutes and i'm screaming at the top of my lungs, and 30 minutes + and i'm almost throwing the controller.

So i guess i need to stay away from NGS?
If it says "Ninja Gaiden" in the title, run away, full speed.

Even if i put it on easy mode, i'll still be a poor match for the game?

If you put it on the easiest mode, which I think it Ninja Dog or something like that, you would probably beat it without too much trouble. However, you have to suffer through the humiliation of wearing a gay purple scarf the whole game.

NGS is easier than NGB, as previously said, as they add more items and item shops. This is even more true if you play on the easiest mode, as you will get extra healing items and such.

Still, it isn't a game you can mindlessly bash through. Even on easy, you have to be sharp.

This thread is bringing back bad memories from ninja gaiden ii

only game that has ever made me rage quit and not finish

Even Ninja Dog is difficult compared to most action games.

It depends. It is a great game, I liked it a whole lot, but it is not the kind of game you steer through to watch the story play out. It is very much old school spend lots of time reworking through the same segment to get the hang of how to do things better.

If you get pissed because you die, this game will absolutely piss you off, badly. That said, it never really felt cheap to me, it felt like I was dieing because I wasn't good enough, not because some moronic choice by the developers in terms of wonky controls, bad camera angles or 'cheating'.

Hmm, yeah, for your case I would avoid any Ninja Gaiden game like a leper would avoid a magic teacup ride. I have less anger trouble with games than what you describe and after taking an ungodly pwning with most NG games I am ready to defenestrate myself.

i beat Nnja Gaiden Black on the xbox years ago when it came out. very tough, very frustrating. stay faaaar away if you have a short fuse
