I have four pieces of bread and four pieces of cheese. I'm considering just DIY'ing it. How tough is it to? I've never melded a grilled cheese in my kitchen before.

I still cannot figure out how people type these parodies and still think they're funny enough after finishing typing to hit the submit button. -Admin DrPizza

That's melt. To meld is to lay down a Jack of Diamonds and a Queen of Spades and get 40 points for it.

As others have said, melding is easy, but it's also easy to screw up something you like if you haven't practiced with it. It's also really freaking expensive for proper equip... this isn't like baking. Just take it to a cafeteria , or your local HS vehicle shop if they have one. May wanna wait for a little later in the semester though ;)

The trick is to avoid too much oxygen from getting to the joint when it's still hot, as it will cause oxidation and air bubbles. It is best to do it in vacuum.

Best advice...

DIYing your first meld can be dangerous
Take it to a shop that specialized in melding. There are also guys that will come out to your house with their melding equipment, but I don't know what they charge.
