I got my gamertag deleted, along with all the demos, but I'm primarily concerned with my cc info I used to pay for the L!ve subscription. Is that stored on the HDD? I can't remember. I didn't play the dumb thing nearly as much as I thought I would. :(

Aren't the CC details stored on the MS server, which are then cross referenced with your gamertag logon when paying for xbox live access? Hence, no gamertag saved, no CC details available.

I previously owned the core version of the Xbox 360 with a 64MB memory card. I formatted the memory card before I sold it, so in theory there should be no way anyone else would be able to obtain my CC payment details.

That's what I wondered Rich, I think you're probably right. Thank you for the help.

If it is anything like a version 1 xbox it has stuff on there to run the xbox, you go over it and format it, or wipe it clean your going to destroy the files that make it run. Then you got a 360 box that no works and they guy who gets it is going to be pissed off. ;)

I sold mine, so I'm a little fuzzy, but IIRC it's:

Get serial number of 360 first.
System blade, memory options.
Select memory card/HDD and choose format device.
Enter serial number.
Format.
Reboot.
Confirm lack of Gamertags.

CC information is definitely stored on the server, as you can access it from your xbox.com profile also.
