I have a portable TV brought from Europe, thus it uses PAL format.
If I buy digital converter box like one of these ( digital converter box, will I be able to use it as a small TV? It won't be so portable with converter box attached to it =)

If that doesn't work, what do I need?
Thanks for your help.

The convert box outputs a down-converted NTSC signal. Will your PAL TV accept an NTSC signal?

Nope, only PAL.

Then it sounds like you need a converter box that will output pal...I doubt that one (at least not a CECB) exists.

I'm not sure if an ATSC -> PAL converter exists at all. If it did, a new TV might still be cheaper.

Ancient NTSC Black & White TV's could be converted to PAL. I'd assume that B&W PAL TV's could be tweaked into NTSC.

Alas OP, not much hope.
