How to view msinfo32 files in other OS's?

Hey --

I'm curious if anyone knows how to read msinfo.nfo files in operating systems OTHER than those they were generated in. In particular I wish to view Windows98 msinfo.nfo files in Windows XP. I know XP will view ME and 2000 nfos, but not 95 or 98.

I work in tech support and have to view this file often, and I'm stuck running Windows98 because it is the only OS I'm aware of that can read the 98 msinfo.nfo files, and everyone else is running a newer/better OS. Please let me know, I would be MOST greateful .

Hi

Simply associtate .nfo file with Notepad or other text viewer; or open them from within Notepad. Works for me!

The msinfo.nfo files are specific thom they aren't just text files. They bring up a Windows program that can read it correctly..

You can get a trial version of UltraEdit-32 that should do the trick.
