How to verify PCI/AGP frequency lock??

Lets say that i overclock the FSB and lock the agp/pci how do i know that it works at the selected frequency?

Intresting read looks like what im looking for!! except that it lacks the agp tester, but just like Mikki ponders would the agp run at a diffrent speed then the PCI (the 1:2 relation)? Anyway good info. Thanks!

yes in Bios you can set the pci/agp but how do you verify that it's actually working ?

You need a hardware based analyser like the PC Gieger or an ociliscope to verify it. You can't depend on what the software is telling you.

I'm guess that you'll know because the machine either works, or not, as the case may be. Many motherboards do not allow you to adjust this setting manually, it defaults to either 4:2:1 or 5:2:1 depending on the FSB of the processor's default. So, if you manually change the FSB to 200, it defaults to the highest available setting, 5:2:1. That means you are running the AGP clock at 80Mhz instead of 40Mhz, and the PCI clock at 40Mhz instead of 33Mhz. Even if the motherboard/CPU/Memory works fine at this speed, your AGP video card may not be able to handle 80Mhz, and/or your PCI bus may not handle the 40Mhz.

The same way you test any overclock....Prime95. Do some searching.

Duh, of course I meant 66Mhz. Sorry 'bout the brain fart. I guess they were right in high school, I would end up needed that math.....

No, actually I was talking about those cheapo SIS chip AGP cards....you're lucky if they can hit 40Mhz! :evil:
