Question How to utilize a second M.2?

I'm working on building a computer for the first time in many years so I'm not up to date on the tech. I have never used M.2 before and I'm just working on learning about it.

I'm planning to use a 1 Tb M.2 for my main storage.
My board has another M.2 slot.

My questions are....
Does it make any sense to bother with trying to set up an M.2 cache if my main drive is already M.2?
Does it make any sense to bother with setting up a second M.2 to serve as an OS drive?

1 Tb is plenty of storage for me so I would only use the second M.2 if there is some other benefit to doing so.

Just buy one of the faster drives (970 EVO Plus, WD SN7550, Adata 8200 PRO, Sabrent Rocket, etc.), and don't even worry about that.

Not really for 99.9% of users out there. I have a 1TB WD SN750 NVMe drive, and I set up a partition for the OS, and one for my programs. Really the only reason to add another NVMe drive is if you needed more space.
