How to Use the Help Feature in MAC OS X

The Help menu is a part of the Finder in OS X. It’s contextual, and is present in most applications. The contents and the suggestions of the Help menu will vary based on the application you have opened. From user manuals to shortcuts, the Help menu covers a range of information. The feature is not only crucial for the beginners, but also for the veterans. Let’s take a look at how you use the Help feature in MAC OS X.

Step 1
Select ‘Help’

Navigate to the ‘Finder’ at the top of the screen, and select ‘Help’. Consequently, a ‘Search Box’ will drop down allowing you to type in your query.

Step 2
Type the ‘Query’

Go to the ‘Search Bar’ and type in your query, or issue, or the name of the application you are having a problem with. With predictive algorithm, the system starts suggesting you a drop-down list of options based on the key words you type in. For instance, if you want to know how to use ‘Clipboard’ in your OS X, then type clipboard on the search bar.

Step 3
Select a ‘Search Result’

Select a ‘Search Result’ from the drop-down list; for instance, ‘Show Clipboard’. Consequently, a box appears on the screen indicating ‘Show Clipboard’ from the ‘Edit’ menu.
