what adapter can i use to connect my NORMAL headphones to the iPhone with recessed jack?


i've bought an iPhone --> normal headphone adapter from some no-name company thinking that it was a simple cable and they can't get it wrong. But they did and there was static and losing signal from each side.

What cable/adapters/methods have u guys used to use ur normal headphones with the Iphone with SUCCESS?
 
how long have u used it for? many people using any types of headphone adapters say that theirs break after a few weeks/months of usage or lose signal...

I used it about 2 months, until I sold my first gen iPhone and no longer needed it.
