How to use laptop LCD as a desktop monitor?

I have a desktop tower but without monitor, and a DELL laptop.

Is there anyway I can temporally use the laptop's LCD as desktop's monitor? To connect to the general VGA output of the desktop. what kind of adaptors do I need?

And suggestions? Thanks in advance!

I don't thinks its going to happen, unless you have tv/video in on your laptop, all the video is normally out.
