How to use Intel Quicksync with a discrete GPU installed?

Is that possible and if so, how? I want to transcode video with Quicksync, using MediaEspresso.

Thanks.

From my understanding Lucid Virtu or MVP will switch automatically between descrete GPU (or video card) and the IGP (Integrated Graphics on Processor) which will enable the use of the Intel® Quick Sync to give best performance for that application. So all you have is enable the Lucid product and almost all Z77, H77 and Z68 (if it had support for the IGP) would come with this software.

Great, thanks! I saw Virtu in my UEFI and completely forgot about it. Works like a charm and QuickSync is so fast, awesome :)

Side question: is there a difference in QuickSync performance between HD2500 and HD4000?

I would guess that there might be a little bit but not much of a differnce. From my understanding the reason is that the Intel® Quick Sync is not part of the IGP but part of the instruction set on the processor. So while you might get a small bit of performane boost from the extra EUs on the Intel HD 4000 Graphics it isn't what drives the functionality.
