How to use bicycle Presta valve?

I got a mini pump and bike with Presta valve. I unscrew the head and tried to pump but it won't inflate. How to pump a tire with Presta valve?

You need an adapter like this.

The female threaded end goes onto the valve, and the male threaded end gets put into the normal bicycle pump.

i used to have one of thoes and they suck. your better of buying a pump that can do both types of valves. thats what I did soo much easier

Oh, and make sure that you unscrew the little knob ontop of the valve after you take the valve cap off.

Took me a while to figure out why it wasn't working when I first got my bike. 😛

It should look like this when it's unscrewed.

Shrug. I never had any problems.. Not really any difference, IMO.

I used a Presta pump. Now I figured out the problem... the tire tube was punctured 🙁 I was able to inflate the front tire but not the rear one.
