How to update DVD drive firmware

I have a toshiba ODD DVD SD-r5272 dvd-rw combo drive. I have been having problems with it freezing my comp randomly when i insert a disc. Well I finally found a firmware update for it and dont want to fudge things up. What is the proper way to go about updating? it seems to have come as a program. Any help would be great as i did a search to no avail.

Instructions should be on the Toshiba web site. Generally it involves creating a boot floppy and putting the flasher program and .bin (the ROM code) file on it. Boot from floppy and run flash program.
