Man, I'm beginning to be a pain in the rear-end with these questions of mine. Nevertheless:
In a prior post, I queried the brain-trust here about the third and fourth IDE controllers on the CUBX board. I discovered that a new BIOS version was available that helped with that problem. I downloaded the update, unzipped it into its own file, installed ASUS' Live Update thingie and "updated from file".
Only, I didn't. It told me it was an unknown EEPROM type. So, figuring maybe the file got whacked, I tried "updating from Internet". Live Update tells me that it can't get do it and to try another site. Well, I tried all three of the sites listed and, zippo.
Cruising the ASUS site, I find an update to the Live Update thingie, install that and still, the BIOS update runaround: The one I downloaded (which is the one ASUS pointed me to) is an unknown EEPROM type and I can't get an update from any of the ASUS sites using Live Update.
What do I have to do to update my BIOS? Sacrifice a chicken or something?
Gas
