Question How to update a Mac Mini 1.1 to High Sierra?

The computer only gives me the option of upgrading to Mojave and then tells me it's not compatible. According to Wikipedia it ought to be able to handle High Sierra, but I can't see a way to go about installing it (preferably an in-place upgrade). Help?

That's a 32-bit-only Core Solo/Duo system from 2006/2007. According to Everymac.com they only support up to 10.6.8. (Snow Leopard.)

IIRC, you can download the High Sierra installer in your purchase history in the App Store, or get it from somebody who did, assuming you have a more modern machine somewhere that's running the app store.

You could try one of dosdude1's patchers.

Macmini1,1 not supported for High Sierra with that patcher.

These things go up to 10.6 Snow Leopard. There are ways to get past 10.6 but they're too complicated IMO, and you can't go as far as High Sierra.
