How to untangle a Slinky

go to a local store & buy a new one. Actually what always worked for me was to start at one end & just straighten it out from there. Well I gues you don't want to make it STRAIGHT, but ya get the idea.

yeah, i really don't think a slinky is too expensive. Rummage through the couch cushions and head on down to walmart.

the secret in untangling them is to twist them. but even when you untwist them free, they will always have that annoying cow lick type bend that keeps them from bouncing perfectly.

cut it and retape it. i made a very very long slingy by expanding mine with two additional slinkies

Once they have been tangled once then there is not hope for them to get back to normal.

Perhaps they were designed to have that very flaw? Would make it better for the slinky companies eh, run out and buy a new one constantly.. Diabolical... :)

It takes lost of patience to untangle a slinky... I know.. I have to do it ocasionally cause my 2yr old keep tangling hers up...
