Some posted this at Amdmb.com so I don't know if anybody has talked about this here...

You can unlock you Athlon by conecting two pins on the bottom of the CPU

Click me to see Pictures....

I have not done it, and don't have any more info. I am more or less putting it out there to see if anybody has done this. Seems way to easy, But as Skinner says "Prove me wrong kids, Prove me wrong".

I've done the "painting" of the bridges on the Athlon XP and the vcore mod on my wife's P4. Judging by where those pins are on the tbred it probably would be easier to paint the bridges. :p

Thats what I was thinking, as just last night I painted the L5's on my 2 XPs to go in my Dual system.
So this will not help me , NOW, but would be good to know. A little rear defogger paint between the pins looks REALLY easy, but I have no board that has Multi-plier adjusts to test it.
Anybody want to be the first :)

easier way would be just by dropping a U loop wire into the socket...instead of trying to wrap the pins with thin wire with very little space to work with :)
