I installed a Vista beta on my D:\ partition and have been dualbooting for a while.

Now I'd like to remove Vista without formatting my D:\ partition. I have 200GB of stuff in there that I do not have space to backup anywhere else.

Does anyone know how to do this?

Thank you for your time,

if your other OS is WindowsXP, edit the boot.ini and delete the line that allows u to select Vista as a boot option.

edit boot.ini

Then go and delete the folders where u installed Vista into on the D drive...

Heh. No, it's not me. My vista HD is only 250 Gb. Nice find though, I couldn't find anyone elsewith my exact problem...

Ah, and thanks for sticking with the topic and taking the time to help. Quite frankly, I'm impressed by your searching skills and your selfless dedication and very pleasantly surprised by both.

I feel I must give you something in exchange. Watch this, it's very funny (and maybe sad and depressing as well): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HCkYfYa8ePI
