how to uninstall win xp pro

hello everyone,
How do you uninstall win xp pro. I tryed the add remove programs, win xp does not show up on the list. I tryed cliking on my computer then right clicking on c: drive. It would not format either. any ideas

You can?t format a HDD while it?s in use. Just put the XP CD in the tray, boot from it
and then format.

you can only uninstall xp from the add/remove programs if you upgraded from win98/ME!

And then only if you had setup save the previous OS. I never waste HDD space on that - instead I keep a duplicate HDD with the previous OS on it until I am sure I don't need it anymore. Sometimes I have 2-3 backup HDDs ready to go. It's called security through redundancy. :)
