How to uninstall Direct X?

I need to uninstall Direct X 8 from windows 2000, it's supposedly not compatible with my Cinemaster 2000 software. So I guess i need to go back to 7a or maybe 6... either way, how do i uninstall it? Thanks in advance

I also need to know how to uninstall DirectX8 since it made all my games slow on my TNT2

It doesn't say whether or not this works with w2k... i've found a bunch of these but none of them are for 2000... please LMK

I`ve just checked it says,
