How to undervolt the CPU and case fans?

What is the easiest (read cheap, but still safe) way to undervolt both case fans and cpu fans (all 80mm). I know I can get a Zalman fanmate for the cpu fan, but is there an equivalent alternative.

And for the case fans (2) should I just tap into the 5v lead and ground from one of the 4 wire connectors from the PS...is there any danger to this, and can I do both on the same connector (or would 2 fans present more of a load, and thus they would not really be running at 5v each?)

Any help you can give me would be appreicated

The 7V trick is a tried and true method of quieting your case fans.

You could also hook both fans in parallel to a 5V line. But 5V might not be enough to get the fans turning, resulting in the fan motors burning out. Test if the fans will start at 5V. If it doesn't then quickly disconnect it. If the fans do start then you don't have anything to worry about.

As another option you could wire the two fans in series on the 12V line resulting in each fan running at 6V, which would probably be enough to get the fans turning. To do this, connect the red wire of fan #1 into the 12V on a molex. Connect the red wire of fan #2 to the black wire of fan #1. Connect the black wire of fan #2 to a black wire on the molex. This is only a good idea if the fans are to be placed together otherwise you will have messy wiring going all over your case.
