How to Un-partition a SD Card

I have a 2GB SD card that I tried in my older digicam. The camera did not seem to be able to handle 2GB card, and instead created a 1GB partition.

In Windows XP disk management, I see the partition and unallocated space, but it won't let me delete the partition (grayed out).

How can I unpartition it and create a 2GB partition?

I cannot even use the unallocated 1GB. The create partition item is also grayed out in disk management.

Anyone have a solution? My 2 GB card is now effectively halved.

Using a good SD reader/writer and this may help:

After a lot of searching, I found the solution if anyone else has the same problem.

Just download this from HP: Drive Boot Utility

It will zap everything off of a removable device and create a new FAT partition. This has even worked for removing the U3 software on the Sandisk USB drives.
