how to turn ouff DEP for UT2004 only

I don't have my SP2 machine in front of me but I think it's under System Properties in the Control Panel (or right click My Computer > Properties). I'm pretty sure under there you can specify to ignore certain applications or EXEs.
 
Just do a search for DEP in the help File for XP. It's the first hit you get and it show you exactly how to change it.
