How to turn off Windows prompts?

My Windows XP Pro SP2 is paid for, fully legal, licensed to me, and registered with MS.

There are 4 user profiles on this box.

Now at EVERY user logon it prompts twice for permission to access the internet for

Windows Genuine Advantage Noticfication, and also for

Windows Explorer v6.00.2900 2180

Does anybody know how to stop these prompts from occurring?

And I can't imagine why Windows Explorer would seek to access the internet anyway.
