I have a video card in this machine and its saying that its useing the Non-Plug and Play system driver.

It doesn't show in device manager.

In advanced video prop. It has a button where you can stop the service but when I click it doesn't respond

Does anyone know how I can get it off of that and use standard default drivers so that the ATI Radeion install will work?

Thanks in advance!

Ok, I will try that. I just booted up in safe mode it give me the same error saying I must atleast install the Standard VGA Driver.

The system driver that loads up on me is called VGASAVE and it has options to set it to come on like ex. System, Automatic, disable, ect, but if I choose to have it off when I reboot I can't see to tell what im doing. lmao

Try reseatting the video card. Then update your motherboard drivers. Did you run the ati thing then it says saving files to ati support or something like that. Try using the add hardware wizard. Then point it to that folder where the drivers are.

Otherwise F8 on bootup and enable vga mode. That'll get the vga drivers loaded so you should be able to install the drivers.

Yeah, thats what I thought also... but it always loads the System NonPlug and Play VGAsave driver... I know a reinstall of windows would probably work but the guy wants it quick. :\
