How to turn off disk cleanup in XP?

I've searched this forum, including the XP thread with all the tips, and not found my answer (hope I didn't miss it by accident!). Does anybody know how to turn off the annoying disk cleanup wizard which will pop-up at regular intervals if disk space is low? I have a partition or two bordering on full, and I have no plans to change that any time soon, so that disk cleanup thing has got to go!

Control Panel>Performance And Maintenance>Administrative Tools>Services>Task Scheduler.......Disable it

I think that's what ya need 🙂

mine's already been set to manual and it's not getting rid of disk cleanup, anyway, i dont think task scheduler affects that, does it? 😕

i too would like to know how to disable disk cleanup, its very irritating to say the least, i think i'd know when im running outta space.

oboeguy: try disabling it with tweakui, it didnt work for me but it might for u 😉

OK, folks, here's my report on your kind suggestions.

For some reason, it appears I do not have a "Performance and Maintainence" control panel applet. It doesn't show-up as an option in tweakui, either. Sooooo... I couldn't try that trick. Any idea why?

However I saw the option in tweakui for disabling the disk cleanup notification and it worked! (good riddance!)

Thanks for the help!

There's also a registry entry for this (you have to add a new one, not simply change an existing one).. you'll find it on MS's site, though I don't know exactly where. It's what I did back when I first had XP, long before I ever got any tweak programs.
