How to turn fan control from speedfan back to mobo.

Hi all, I'm currently uploading a big file with my slow internet and I need to be able to sleep while doing it. So I turned speedfan off but it didn't go back to mobo control. I would use a low speedfan value, but I want it to ramp the speed up if it needs to, but full fan is too loud. How do reset it to "vanilla" settings? e.g. mobo controlled.

uninstalling speedfan should let bios rehandle the speed control.

I want to keep speedfan on my PC, and the mobo does control the speed before I turn speedfan on, but not after. And I can't reboot because I have spent 2 hours on this 15 hour upload.
