If u have an old motherboard with USB version 1.1 and u wanna hook up an Ipod that only needs a usb 2.0 port... are u able to turn ur usb 1.1 to usb 2.0 compatible?

I think i read somewhere that its just a driver issue... u can update it with Windows Update... is that True?

The only way to have a USB 2.0 connection to a mobo that only supports USB 1.1 is by adding a PCI USB card, which will normally give you 4 extra USB 2.0 ports. You can find one on Pricewatch for ~$15.00.

No. It involves electronics as well.

Yeah, USB 1.1 and 2.0 are completely different. If you have 1.1, you definately need to get a USB 2.0 card, as its like what, 50x faster?
