How to trouble shoot a LED flashlight?

I bought THIS. it's a 4 LED flashlight.

the AA batteries work. It powers my maglite.

i pop in the 3 AA batteries. As i'm screwing the cap in, i see light. when i finished screwing the cap all the way in, he light goes off.

there's an on/off button on the cap. i push it several times. nothing.

i take off cap. everything seems normal. i put bcap back on. no light as i'm screwing it back in.

Company has no phone #. I emailed them.

Any other ideas while i wait for a response?

You get what you pay for.

My $150 surefire has never had any problems.

I'd grab some wire and connect the battery up directly to see if it lights up. Then you'll know if something is loose in the flashlight or if the led assembly is broken.
