Hello all,

I had jailbroken and unlocked my 2g iPhone since I use it with T-mobile to go. Then, I started adding apps (both AppStore and Cydia ones). I have a few photos/songs/videos, but not much. Then, I saw a great deal on AT/FS for a 3g iPhone and jumped on it. It took me a while to jailbreak/unlock it, but I finally did.

Now, how's the best way to transfer my stuff over? I assume I can't use the iTunes backup/restore because it'll remove my jb/unlock. Should I just add it as a new iPhone and link it to my iTunes account to reget all my bought apps? I'm not too worried about the songs/videos since I have them on my WHS. The pics would be nice, but there aren't that many that I would lose.

the backup feature in iTunes won't backup any jailbroken apps off an iPhone. The closest thing I found was an app which generates a list of all the jailbroken apps. You still had to manually reinstall all of them, but it made it easier than trying to remember. The name of this app escapes me right now though :(

App store apps will back up and restore normally. anything from Cydia or Installer will not.

I did the backup/restore. Still jailbroken and unlocked.

I only had SBSettings and Winterboard so far, so that wasn't a problem.

Thanks everyone.

There is a guide online to backup all your stuff but you have to SSH into your iphone and transfer the files over.

Doesnt RockApp save a list of all your jailbroken apps so that after a restore you can log back onto RockApp and redownload all your old apps?
