How to throw display(xterm) on a computer behind firewall?

I have the following set up.
Two PCs running Win Me (one of them is dual boot with Linux Red Hat 7.2). Both of these PCs are connected to RoadRunner viaNetGearRT314 routher.
I want to tetecommute. Here is what I am trying to do. I log on to my work network computer using dial up and then try to run a script that has a delay that would throw display back on my one of the PCs behind firewall after I terminate dial up. I did SVA set up on router but some how display does not come back on PC. In SVA set up I specified port number 6000 and IP address of my work's IP address which throws display back to my PC usinf SETENV DISPLAY PC's IP address:0.0. Things does not work at all. I tried to do the same thing under Linux (xhost+ was done too) also so that I don't have to run x-emulator. Can any one suggest what to do? Thanks in advance.
