You can send 3 text msgs to a number using yahoo messenger. That is what I u se to text my bro in India.

Ok so i am trying to text a cell phone in pakistan using the Textfree app, which advertises that you can text pakistan. However when i put in the number, it keeps on saying it is not a valid US number.

Anyone have a clue ?

A brief scan of the TextFree support website shows that this is either a widespread intermittent problem or the result of human error.

One inelegant solution is to have the person text you first at your TextFree number, then you can text them back.

On a side note, I signed up myself and my family's three other iDevices for TextFree as a sort of backup number, to be used infrequently. Apparently, if you do not use a TextFree number in 15 days they send you a nag e-mail warning that your account will be cancelled if you do not use TextFree at least once every 30 days.

That is lame. I have removed TextFree from all of our iDevices and will let our accounts lapse. Something better will come along, I'm sure.

We texted a couple of times using reg text...but i finally got her on to Gtalk...which is much, much better being FREE...I guess this whole thing is resolved...Thanks to all you guys !
