How to test the CPU for errors or speed????

It there a memtest type program for your CPU? I have a 1Ghz duron and it does not seem to run as well as other 1Ghz durons I have used. I would like to test it to see if everything in the core is working 100%. I have used memtest for my memory but did't know if there was something like that for CPU's???

Thanks

I suggest giving Prime 95 a try. Run the torture test for at least 5 hours to see if you have a stable system with no errors. A link is in the thread at the top of this catagory. Peace.

memtest86 tests the stability of your processor as well

just do as Thugs would say:
c-2-3-1-2-0 space bar

when you first get into memtest86...
